Based on Cooperative Learning ; Constructivism Learning Theory ; Social Interaction Theory,Vygotsky's " The Zone of Proximal Development Theory"as the theoretical guidance,the thesis absorbs the research results of,domestic cooperative learning group such as "the middle school English teaching outline" and the "curriculum standard" as the basis,and in combination with the practical situation of the education teaching and the author's specific English teaching practice. The thesis as an empirical study of cooperative learning in junior middle school tends to prove the effectiveness of cooperative learning.This paper analyzes the historical background of Group Cooperative Learning at first,and discusses the definition of cooperative learning group,connotation,theoretical foundation and the necessity of the application of teaching,and through the specific teaching case which focuses on how to carry out English teaching in the group of cooperative learning activities in junior school,and expounds how to organize the team,train the team ,group distribution of evaluation mechanism,calculate the group's achievement.A questionnaire survey was conducted among students at the beginning of the year,and helped them to understand the purpose of learning English,and explained their attitude,hope,ideas,suggestions,etc; A year later after group cooperative learning,the second questionnaire was conducted to help them understand the present status of the teaching of middle school English cooperation . Second,the analysis and comparison of the results of the experimental class scores and those in the comparative class before and after the Group Cooperative Learning further proves that Group Cooperative Learning has good effect. The result of the experiment suggests that Group Cooperative Learning is more significant than traditional teaching class. The average,choiceness and excellence rate increased. So Group Cooperative Learning is feasible and effective. It can improve their academic achievements,especially the comprehensive quality.The practice proved that Group Cooperative Learning can reduce anxiety emotions of classmates. Group Cooperative Learning is good for cultivating the students' ethical values. It is helpful to arouse the enthusiasm of the students to learn . It is good for optimizing study method. It is helpful to improve the comprehensive quality of students. At the same time the case demonstrates some existing problems in team learning: the lack of effective management,easy to whisper,likelihood or tendency to copy other's homework; the participation of students isn't balanced,lack of initiative,secure; Pay more attention to form,light the actual content,etc.Research results show Cooperative learning group has both advantages and disadvantages.When teaching,we have to choose different teaching methods. In this new era,teaching sets stricter demands on teachers. Teachers should constantly improve their comprehensive quality.
