With quality of football performance decreasing in recent years, there is a reflection among football experts and investigators on present training system of youngster football players in China and a hybrid training system is advocated. Through campus training, students are able to practice without missing any school learning. The traditional football school is a typical case, in which the experience of training players and holding matches has set an example for other schools. After-school training and football practice allow schools a base for football players.The purpose of this paper, in accordance with the documentary method, expert interviews, mathematic statistics and logic analysis, is to investigate the after-school football training at eleven football schools in Suzhou city, discover problems and conclude as follows:Coaches have definite goal of after-school practice and are all well educated. However, they have none of high job titles or expertise level as well as much experience as a professional athlete. Additionally, they are not motivated or capable of making academic researches, and making long-term coaching plans. Also, there are none integrated professional training systems. The quality of coaching is directly related to the after-school football practice and levels of individual player at Suzhou football schools.(2) In spite of having clear objective, the student can hardly complete their training plans as a result of contradictions between learning and football training. Players, without perfect system of competition, can not get improved for few opportunities of practical match experiences, poor skills, and unsystematic training. These problems, therefore, have severely impacted sustainable development of youngster football players.(3) Suzhou football schools are well equipped with hardware facilities, nevertheless, the sole and single channel to raise funds, desires for funds for training and matches, few supports from educational institutes, parents or teachers, continuous reduction of enrolled students and difficult pipelining of excellent players all account for deterioration of football context.(4)Suzhou football schools shall focus on addressing contradictions between learning and training, combination of sports and academic learning, integration of various thinking, raising awareness, the establishment of pluralistic funding system, the launch and completion of unified system of competition, optimization of competition environment, the overall quality improvement of coaches, setting up a coach training system, gradual improvement of the training network, removal of player introduction bottlenecks, so as to make Suzhou football schools a talent base of youngster football players.
