Online web map services have been widely used at present, however, map services differfrom each other ranging from different map projection methods, map level organization andgeographic encoding method, making the mutual independence, hard integration and sharingof online map service. For this issue, the article analyzed the current methods and frameworksof heterogeneous map data integration, on this basis, an online integrated framework of theheterogeneous map data has been designed, the current organization methods of the onlinemap data services have been analyzed, an virtual pyramid structure model has beenconstructed, and finally an online integration method of the heterogeneous map data has beenproposed. Some tips are mainly talked about in the article:(1)Research status of heterogeneous spatial integration framework has been summarized, onthe basis, the online integration framework of the multisource heterogeneous map data hasbeen designed.(2) Heterogeneous spatial data integration methods has been analyzed, on the basis, anonline integration method of multisource heterogeneous map data has been proposed based onglobal virtual pyramid model, which shielded the details of the field, made the operationmethods and access mode of heterogeneous map data transparent, and finally achievedseamless integration of multisource heterogeneous map data.(3)The organizing methods of heterogeneous map data has been analyzed, meanwhile thesimilarities and differences has also been compared.Then a virtual pyramid model has beenbuilt according to the tile organizition,map projection and geographic encoding based onspatial data sharing standard of OGC. Finally, a method of the mapping relationship betweenheterogeneous map data and virtual pyramid model has been achieved, which integrated theheterogeneous map data online.(4)Experimental verification. In the first experiment,“TianDiTu” data service is integratedwith “Google Map” service online. In the second experiment,“TianDiTu” service is integratedwith earthquake thematic data online. The experimental results demonstrated that it is feasibleto integrate heterogeneous map data with this method, and the technical route is successful.
