The Compass navigation system is a satellite navigation system independently established by China, which has broken the dominate of the United States and Russia in this field. However, the Compass navigation system is seldom used in civilian areas, mainly because the system using the active positioning method, leading to higher prices for the terminal, lower timing and poor positioning accuracy compared with the GPS system. With the continuous updating of the Compass navigation system, the positioning accuracy of Compass navigation system having been improved.Firstly, the author obtains the static positioning data by continuous positioning the fixed point on the building of Dalian Maritime University with Compass navigation system. Then, the author gets the dynamic positioning data through simultaneous positioning test on MV YuKun by the Compass navigation system and the differential GPS system.Secondly, after deleting the irregular data, the author obtains the static positioning error data by comparing with the standard point, gets the dynamic positioning error data by comparing with differential GPS dynamic positioning data.Finally, on the basis of quantitative analysis to the Compass navigation system positioning data, the author establishes the AR model of Compass navigation system positioning error.This study, by the measurement and analysis of the positioning error, we can take some methods to improve the positioning accuracy of the Compass navigation system, which can be the practical guide when positioning with the Compass navigation system.
