Digital holography achieves the full process of digitization including recording,storage and reconstruction which puts optical holography, computer technology andphotoelectric technology together. In digital holography, the photoelectrical couplingdevices (such as CCD, CMOS, etc.) are used to record holograms instead of the traditionalholographic materials and the optical reconstruction is replaced by a computer numericalreconstruction. This technology has significant advantages in deformation measurement,microscopy imaging, encryption technology, three-dimensional displayed, vibrationanalysis, non-destructive testing and so on. The application of digital holography prospect,therefore, is very broad.In this paper, digital holographic imaging technology is studied by using digitalmicromirror device (DMD). The main contents are as follows:1. Starting from the basic theory of optical holography, the recording andreconstruction principles of digital holography are introduced. The conditions of off-axisdigital holographic experiment are analyzed such as angle between object light andreference light, recording distance, system resolution and so on.2. In order to improve quality of optoelectronic reconstruction, index of diffractionefficiency is introduced as a method for the analysis of enhancing the image quality ofhologram. Based on digital image processing technology, three different image filteringways (mean filtering, median filtering, laplace operator) and binarization are used toprocess the hologram. Use the language programming of Matlab to get the diffractionefficiency of hologram. Quantitatively analyses the improvement of reconstructed imagequality after using the three different image filtering ways. It provides optimization solution.3. The principle and characteristic of DMD is described. We built an off-axis digitalholography recording and optoelectronic reconstruction systems by using DMD as a spatiallight modulator. And finally get a high quality optoelectronic reconstruction of two objectswith a certain depth of field by DMD.
