With the supply of energy and resources increasingly tight, various countries accelerate mineral and Hydrocarbon resources exploration and development.More and more deep or ultradeep boreholes have been drilled. China’s "Enter the Earth" plan comprises a mount of scientific drilling projects leaded by a13000m depth borehole.China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), following the development trend, lead the national211key subject construction project of "intelligent multi-function-drilling experiment system" for the purpose of servicing to deep drilling scientific research and teaching.The main aim of the project is to build a Mechatronics-hydraulic integration multi-function rig."Implementation and design for intelligent multi-functional test-bed drilling parameters detection and control system ", as the subject of the paper, is derived from the project, which purpose is to develop a set of suitable process of drilling parameters detection and control system for scientific experiments and teaching.The increasing of difficulty of drilling and labor costs promote drilling equipment to improve automation and intelligent. Whether the geological prospecting drilling equipment or oil and gas exploration drilling equipment in the market, the automation degree are more and more high. Paper following the development of market, achieving drilling equipment automation and intelligence as premise, realize the process of the real-time detection and main production parameters of intelligent control.Paper eventually services in drilling teaching and the research for deep drilling technology, new drilling rigs, drilling process measurement and control technology, Large displacement trenchless technology and Light fast shallow drilling sampling technology etc.Based on the understanding of the traditional drilling detection apparatus design, functions and application in site, This paper forms the intelligent detection system theory and scheme by using the theory and method of detecting technology. On the basis of closed loop control theory and method of automatic control theory, comprehensive using mechanical automation, hydraulic control principle, electrical integration and other related discipline knowledge, the paper forms a set of "machine-electricity-hydraulic" integration control principle which aims at intelligent control drilling pressure, rotational speed, the pump output suit for drilling program test-bed. At the foundation of the detection and control theory, the author through the hardware design and make, multi-channel sensor selection, industrial PC and acquisition card, analog output card and the implementation of the optimization, accomplish the hardware of the system. At last, author using virtual instrument graphical programming language——LabVIEW completes software of the system. The software can realize the communications of hardware, real-time detection, display, save drilling engineering parameters etc. At same time, the software can deal with different professional scientific experiment data and show the map or table results professionally. The perfect combination of hardware and software forms the drilling process monitoring and control system which meets the need of teaching and the multi-function process of scientific research.The drilling rig has two sets of operating system, remote and close operation. either of the operations can operate rig completely. Paper realizes the operating system parallel interlock working relationship.The function of the system is more powerful than others which can detect drilling pressure, rotational speed, theory pump output, actual pump output, pump pressure, mechanical drilling rate, torque, system pressure and temperature and system power etc. Among them, the power output head torque measurement directly, which data more believable. Theory pump output and actual pump output divided measured can not only for evaluation of mud pump provides the basis for the performance, and the difference can also act as a judge the hole of the condition a new basis, for scientific research to provide more comprehensive data. The system’s function is not just detection but also can intelligent control the essential drilling parameters, feed force(speed),rotational speed, pump output. This three parameters are controlled by closed loop. In range of regulated value, users can accommodation the three parameters steplessly. According to user’s settings, the system can high precision match value to control actuating mechanism. The feed drive system has two work patterns, constant pressure feed and constant speed feed, both of which are stepless adjusting that is very conducive to the research of drilling experiment. In addition, the paper develop a system has strong data post-processing ability for professional experimental research. The data-processing system Combined with a variety of data processing methods, which can shows e-tour report, the report of bits experiment, the report of drilling tools experiment and the processed images of drilling parameters. The system also has good expansibility, not only software but also hardware. Other hardware can be convenient supported, for example, micro-drilling experiment or electromagnetic wave visualization two-way communication experiment, etc.Automation and intelligence of drilling rig is significant to the development of drilling equipment.Rig automation, intelligent study has important implications, in particular, to deepen the refinement of experimental study on drilling basic theory, conducive to the completion of rock crushing, drilling optimization of process parameters and other basic research projects, drilling technology, the experiencefight to drill a qualitative breakthrough in the scientific drilling. The same time, it is also the direction of development drilling equipment, part of the technological achievements of the research paper has been successfully applied to the drilling production practice, the preliminary results achieved prove very broad application prospects. Partial achievements of research in the paper have been applicated in drilling productions and have a broad prospect.
