Research And Implementation On Surveying And Mapping Information Management And Application System For Yangtze Waterway Based On GIS

The surveying and mapping data of Yangtze waterway, which represents the whole surveying and mapping achievements for Yangtze waterway, has an important effect on research and construction for the channels as data base. It is an important problem for building Yangtze digital waterway how to efficiently manage the surveying and mapping information along Yangtze waterway. Solving the problem will make the relative departments promptly utilize the data and improve waterway construction and service level.According to waterway surveying and mapping data characteristics and data management demand analysis, the surveying and mapping database is constructed based on GIS and spatial database technology, this paper also describes the architecture designing way for storing and managing waterway surveying and mapping data by choosing Oracle+ArcSDE database platform. Based on the database, this paper presents the designing and developing process for the surveying and mapping data management and application system for Yangtze waterway. This system adopts mixed architecture of B/S and C/S schemes. And based on ArcEngine components and high level language programming, the system realizes the data management functions such as warehousing, query, browse, redundancy, analysis of the waterway surveying and mapping data. The application system consists of two subsystems:3D simulation analysis subsystem for Yangtze waterway and midstream waterway measurement scheduling rapid response and decision supporting subsystem. The subsystems achieve the advanced application functions:waterway3D simulation visual analysis, measurement scheduling rapid response and decision supporting, etc.As a part of Yangtze digital waterway project, the system is to well facilitate construction of the waterway.
