With the transcultural and transnational diffusion of the scientific knowledge in globalization mode, the diversity characters of culture are increasingly emerging. The frequent communications among the heterogeneous cultures have made the so-called "western centralism" myth collapsed gradually. The appeals of the globalization of knowledge have provided the heterogeneous cultures an equal and inclusive discourse space. The "local" knowledge concept gives the new connotation to the communications."Local" knowledge criticized the universal applicability standard of knowledge and considered that localization is the nature of any knowledge. It also claimed that the knowledge is relevant to the particular circumstances, such as society, culture and politics. There is no knowledge who is absolutely universal applicability, the western scientific knowledge is just one local knowledge and specially, it came out of the west with the western colonialism in15th century. Furthermore, postcolonial technoscience argue that the produce of any scientific know ledges are intertwined inevitably by the social and cultural factors, and the development of them are also embedded in the network which is consisted of those heterogenous factors. So the dynamic and hybrid of the heterogenous exchange under the context of the postcolonial technoscience open up a new perspective for the global communacations. The author tries to use "local" knowledge concept and postcolonial technoscience theory to analyze the current stage of the research of the integration of Chinese and Western medicine, in order to seek the new way to develop the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM). As we all know, western medicine has developed with TCM since it was introduced into china in late Ming dynasty. Until it appeared more powerful and much advanced than TCM, espacially the power of the colonialism, TCM faced with deadly threat and even appeared "abolish TCM" comments. At that time, the people launched a series of integration of Chinese and Westren medicine to survive TCM crisis. The author finds that in order to solve this problem, we should put both of them in the same level. Rather than just because of the advanced of the western medicine, we treat TCM as backward. Obviously,"local" knowledge concept supplies an equal platform to them which makes them have some equality. However, I need to explain that because of the structure of "local" knowledge, the paper use it by it’s generalized meaning. The hybrid character of the heterogenous cultures put forward by postcolonial technoscience theory, gives theoretic rationality to explore the communication of them. In view of it, the author believes that as a result of the collision between western medicine and TCM, the integration of them is necessary to continue, espacially in the period of globalization. What’s more, the fact proves that the HuiTong of chinese and western medicine is the predecessor of the integration of them, so the former can guide the later. In this article, the author attempts to put the Zhang Xichun’s chinese and western medicine thoughts as an example. On the one hand, we expect to obtain some useful experience for the current research; on the other hand, we prove the truth that the social construction of the knowledge is closely related with the particular context. Mr Zhang proficiented in TCM and had very strong interest in western culture, both them which made him stood out in the research of the integration of the chinese and western medicine. In view of the above consideration, the paper will be divided into seven parts to discuss. The first section is the introduction. The second part describes Zhang Xichun’s lifetime and the passion for the western knowledge. The third section analyse Zhang’s HuiTong thought of chinese and western medicine, which includes the source of HuiTong thoughts and the social ground at that time, and succession by Tang Zonghai. Next, the paper depicts the details of Zhang’s thoughts from the aspects of theory, medicine and medical model. The fifth part is the valuation of Mr Zhang’s HuiTong thoughts, including the nature, influence and limitationof his thought. The sixth section respectively explores the "local" knowledge characters both of the TCM and western medicine. At first, we discuss the relationship between the "abolish TCM" and the science demarcation. Then, the author explains the meaning of the "local" knowledge and the character of two kinds of medicine about it. In this part, the author indicates the structure of the "local" knowledge in particular. Finally, the paper firstly discusses the relationship of TCM and the chinese and western HuiTong thonght and the integration of them. Secondly explores the concept of the integration between TCM and western medicine. Then, the paper discusses the possibility and necessity of it. At last, the author wants to find the way of integration of TCM and western medicine.
