This paper systematically summarizes the ore-forming geological background, mineral distribution and ore-forming geological conditions of tungsten deposits inAnhui Province, which is funded by the program of Anhui Province MineralResources Potential Assessment. In Anhui Province, the tungsten deposits can besubdivided into7mineralized belts, which is the unique research objects in thisthesis.Anhui Province is located in the suture zone between southern margin of theNorth China Craton(NCC) and the the northern margin of the Yangtze Craton(YC), which is made by the south part of the NCC, Central Orogenic Belt(COB,Qinling-Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt)and north part of YC from north to south.wherethe central orogenic belt(Qinling-Sulu-Dabie orogenic belt)and other two largegeological units appear between the collision of continental blocks across theeastern and western China. There exposed integrated stratigraphic system in Anhuiprovince, and intensely tectonic-magmatic activities are also widely distributed, which are made the essential conditions of the tungsten mineralization. In last two years, numerous Middle-Large types of tungsten deposits havebeen discovered successively in south Anhui Province, including Dongyuantungsten deposit in Qimen, Gaojiabang tungsten deposit in Qinyang, Baizhangyantungsten deposit in Qinyang and so on. There are increasing ore-prospectingachievements to be reported in this area. After systematically analyzed the previous data, this thesis firstly introducedthe geological background, geological and mineralized characters of the5representative tungsten deposits in Anhui Province(tungsten deposits are allconcentrated in the southern region of Anhui Province), which are Baizhangyan,Xiwukou, Lanhualing, Dongyuan and Gaojiabang tungsten deposits respectively, and then discussed the genesis and the ore-forming process of these5deposits.After that, this thesis further summarize researched tectonic environment,ore-bearing strata, tectonic, magmatic activity and other ore-controlling geological factors of the tungsten mineralization in Anhui province. The result showed suggestthat the genesis of formation of the tungsten deposits in Anhui Province isdistinctly controlled by the specifically strata (Ordovician-NanHua), magmaticrocksm (mainly Yanshanian intermediate-felsic magmatic rock),and structures(fold structure+fault structure+interlaminar fracture zone), while each tungstenmineralized occurrence was affected by its particular re-controlling factors duringore-forming process.Based on the achievements of Anhui Province Mineral Resources PotentialAssessment, it can be compartmentalized seven ore-prospective districts oftungsten mineralization in Anhui Province, which are Qingyang-Jingxianprospective district, Fuling-Xiwukou prospective district, Dongzhi-Shitaiprospective district, Jingde-Taiping prospective district, Qimen-Jixi prospectivedistrict, Liucun-Ningguodun prospective district and Southeastern Xiuningprospective district. Thereby this thesis also introduced their ore-controlling factors,ore-prospecting direction, ore-prospecting and criteria and metallogenic model ofthese seven7tungsten prospective districtsareas, which provide credible evidencesto further tungsten exploration in Anhui Province.
