Whether the reservoir lithology, pore structure or gas-water distribution in theNorth of the east2area of Sulige Gas field is very complicated. The gas reservoir inHe8section of this research area is characterized by tight sandstone with poorporosity and poor permeability, and it has small pore-throats radius, poor physicalproperties and high antisotropic. The early Exploration and Development data showthat difficulty to identify gas and water layer, not clear on sand distribution rule,cause of producing water in gas well, connectivity of formation water, distributionrule and controlling factors formation water in this research area. In order to improvethe success and efficiency of construction and production, and to develop the gaswell reasonably, this paper have a synthetic study on hydrochemical features offormation water, identification of gas and water layer, physical property anddistribution of sand, distribution rule and controlling factors formation water basedon the studies of former researchers on this area combining core, log interpretation,thin sections and data of water quality analysis of the research area, achieve someresults and cognitions such as:1. According to log interpretation, data of water quality analysis and well test,the type of producing water is classified into three kinds: normal formation water,ontzilte formation water, raffinate. In this study we consider that the fluid systemofthe formation have good sealing property in this region.2. On the basis of identification of thin sections and data of capillary pressuredata, the reservoir characteristics of He8section such as lithology and physicalproperty were analyzed, identification standards of electrical property of sand-mudstone was made as well combining well log and core observation. Former researchersindicate that the main edimentary face of He8in this region is braided distributarychannel, so the distribution rule of the sand bodies were further studied, thepredicted sand bodies are distributed in approximately north-south orientation, Sandbody overall in parallel source direction is outspread, continuity, in vertical direction of source on the continuity, sand body in isolation. The uneven distributionand continuity of sand bodies, the reservoir petrophysical changes directly result inhigh heterogeneity.3. Combining the data of well test and water quality analysis, this paperdistinguished fluid in the reservior of single well, and then get the best fluididentification technique through comparison and filtration, so recommend to usePorosity-Resistivity cross plot technique, and use apparent formation waterresistivity and multiple discriminant analysis as well.4. Combining geological and other factors,the main control factors of gas-waterdistribution rule are thought to be the heterogeneity of the sand bodies and migrationdynamics of natual gas. On the basis of the microfacies and distribution rule of sandbodies, predicted the profile and planar distribution rule of formation watercombining with the result of gas-water identification. Generally speaking, water isproduced in the vertical direction of each reservoir section, and it is scattered in thehorizontal direction of this research area, and water wells are almost distributed inSu77well area. In order to analyze the origin of water layers, we tracked theformation water,and then classified formation water into2types: compact formationwater and lens body water.
