This paper is based on the ocean water depth data, introduced the application ofvast amounts of water depth data in storm surge decision support system for coastalcities. First talked about the research background and significance, research status andresearch contents of depth data on storm surge in the assistant decision-making system,through an overview of concept and development of aided decision-making system,given the combination of geographical information system and decision support systemapplication. Ocean depth data is a important data type that decision support systemsoften faced, which can be get through the marine stations, observation points, and otherdepartments, also can be derived from the hydrodynamic simulation software with agiven wave height, wind speed and some storm surge under natural conditions, invasionof simulation. The depth data for decision support to play supporting role to some extent,depth data analysis and processing to come up with these mature way to handle this datatype in order to deal with the real storm surge simulation data, provide strong leadershipto support decision-making content described in this paper support the ultimate goal.Ocean depth data is a very characteristics ocean data type, which has a largeamount of data, a variety of sources, and a complicated process to access and so on.This paper focus on the origin depth data monitored by certain marine department, andsimulation-generated storm surge intrusion depth data, the depth about the differentstages of data storage methods and management ideas, and proposes a water depth usingthe depth of data generation gray, in order to achieve efficient depth queries. In thisprocess, mentioned several types of transmission technology of the depth data, andcomparison between the pros and cons of the various technologies, in order to identifythe best transmission strategy for this type of research depth data. Through theexplanation of water depth query method based on grayscale image, and analyzed thisquery mode’s advantage contrasted with the conventional database query mode, finally demonstrated this depth query method based on the grayscale image is worth to drawlessons from.After the capture and queries technologies of ocean depth data can be achieved, thepaper introduces how to determine the affected area using water depth data in the stormsurge disasters. It’s easy to get the affected area layer through space analysis ofFlooded by water depth data layer and the formation of the disaster known to the landlayer. The affected area is combined with many discrete depth values, we can usecontour algorithm to divide the affected areas, and make a smooth range of differentvalues of flooded water depth, thus to evaluate the affected areas’ disaster levels.There is an important post-disaster search and rescue module in storm surgedecision support system, this module is used to determine search and rescue operationsin the affected area after the disaster, in order to ensure that possible survivors can berescued in time. How to choose the route in post-disaster search and rescue operations isan important issue to solve this problem, there are many ways to choose, such asnetwork analysis, graph theory, dynamic programming, A*path finding algorithm andneural networks. The parallel search algorithm based on prim algorithm in this paper isused for the case that there are two rescue teams in search and rescue. The practicalproblems of graph theory abstraction problem for the computer, after the Introduction ofthe Prim algorithm, in this issue of abstract graph theory Prim algorithm is given on thesolution process, and then details the parallel search algorithms of thinking andimplementation process, give a simple example for the use of parallel search algorithmsand validates the advantages of this algorithm.This is a distinctive research point that using depth grayscale-image to modify andimprove search and rescue algorithm. It plays a great supporting role in decision supportsystem for storm surge, and greatly improving the capacity that human society againstnatural disasters.
