The paper uses many kinds of spectroscopy testing on mineralconstitution and structure of serpentine jade from Ji’an,Jilin Province,and give a systematic test and analysis of serpentine jade from Ji’an areaof jilin province.The paper system analysis the samples through the method of X-raydiffraction (XRD) analysis and Fourier infrared spectroscopic analysis,solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis, laser Ramanspectrum analysis and thermal analysis etc.The mineral composition of serpentine jade from Ji’an according to theX-ray diffraction analysis and the infrared spectrum analysis. The mainmineral composition of the serpentine jade from Ji’an area is lizadite,thechemical fomula is [MgAl]3[SiAl]2O5(OH)4.The impurities includingbrucite,magnesite,calcite,etc.,and in different samples,the content of these associated minerals are vary considerably.Resuls of the Raman spectra and the solic nuclear magnetic resonanceanalysis show that structure of the serpentine is Alternating lamellarstacking along the c axis connected the tetrahedron to theoctahedral bybridge oxygen, Mg2+occupy all of the octahedral gap which forms3-8surface shape structure with1:1type. Structure of hydroxyl containingtwo different position,the outside and the inside the layer.Results of he thermal anaylsis show that under500℃,the serpentinejade has stable structure,and more than800℃,the serpentine phasechanges.
