Study On Virtual Campus Roaming And Information Display System Based On OsgEarth

The normal campus management system lacks the ability to process and analyse spatial information, and cannot provide users with vivid and intuitive interface or data. This paper took Dalian Maritime University as the application object, and used virtual reality technology, geographic information system to make a research on virtual campus roaming and information display system. The primary work is as follows:First, this paper used the thinking of Google Earth software for reference, and set up a three-dimensional digital earth based on the acquisition and organization of image data, superposition of high-level data and other key technologies.Second, this paper made the use of Creator software to model campus scene, based on osgEarth sofeware, and adopted coordinate transformation, the level of detail and other technologies, and finally achieved campus scene display and roaming, combining digital earth.Third, this paper achieved geographic information display in the roaming system, based on the research of vector data rasterization. As for the normal campus information, this research achieved the interactive display of information through judging the user’s mouse pickup, and using ADO technology to visit the database.Based on above research, this paper constructed a vivid three-dimensional virtual campus scene, and at the same time, integrated some normal campus information into the virtual scene, and then made information query and display illustrated, which greatly improved user’s experience and interaction. This paper will play a stimulative and referenced role to develop campus digitalization and informatization construction.
