In the recent years, natural gas is developing fast for the surge of crude oil price.About140billion m3natural gas has been consumed in China in2012.This paper discussed the construction method of LNG leakage monitoring system of port storage and transportation based on GIS for the purpose of LNG leakage monitor.First,qualitative experiment has been carried out to test gas monitoring performance of gas sensor,the purpose of which is to obtain the relation between gas density and current, on which result fitting process is conducted.Then gas diffusion model and gas density distribution model of diffusion has been implemented under the influence of various environmental factors,whose result could be the reference for the accident’s effective disposition.Then data processing of monitoring system,such as data transportation within the sensor net,data preservation and data terminal display,is realized.The hardware unit is designed to four parts:detection unit (LNG gas sensor), information transportation unit, storage unit, warning unit. The software unit includes data analysis and disposition unit, local area network construction and monitoring unit. Data being collected and transported in the local area network realizes long-distance monitoring.One web mode of the LNG leakage monitoring system has been build following such principles as WFSL, UDDI, WSDL, OGC WFS, Coverage, HTTP, ASCII and Web services’ distributivity, concurrence, sharing, encapsulation and integration. WebGIS architecture has been build using ArcGIS Server to provide GIS Web services based on Web ADF framework. Then, data collection and disposition method is studied.Another trend is the integration of LNG leakage monitoring system and the internet of things and cloud computing, where there will be efficiency, speed and accuracy.This system could monitor LNG leakage timely and accurately,and its long distance monitoring function make the monitoring work more convinently for its Web model.
