The Design And Realization Of The Police Geographic Information System

With the use of all kinds of Geographic Information System technology, Geographic Information System has affected all kinds of the social businesses. The Ministry of public security has put the construction of Police Geographical Information System (PGIS) in "Golden Shield project" currently, and PGIS is an important component. This system takes advantage of spatial information technology, bases on electronic map, depends on the broadband network of public security, and makes the police information spatialization and integration. The PGIS makes police basic information achieved visualized information inquiry and decision analysis based on spatial electronic map.This article focused on the design and implementation of Changshu Police Geographical Information System. Firstly, the research status of Police Geographical Information System at home and abroad was analysied, and then the theories and key technology needed in developing PGIS was discoursed. Then the present situation of Information construction in Changshu and the targets of the system were summarized. And it suggested the method of optimizating route of patrol. Based on the system requirements analysis, the technical framework and detailed functional modules of the system were designed. Next, the realizing procedure of the Police Geographical Information System was shown from software selection and database design. Finally, the function of system was described through the system interfaces.The Police Geographical Information System created in this article has begun trial operation. The results showed that the system had achieved the intended purpose. This sysytem has good scalability, accurate positioning accuracy and better security. It could achieve efficient query and analysis capabilities in a dynamic, visual way. This system improved services support of the informatization construction in public security work.
