Phase change matertial is an effective means of improving energy efficiency. It has a wide range of application areas on electric power system of peak shaving, utilize of solar energy, aviation and spaceflight, reclaim of waste heat, heating and air conditioning, industry of household electric appliance and so on.According to literatures, CaCl2·6H2O is an inorganic hydrated salt phase change materials. Most of the calcium chloride in nature is existed as the form of CaCl2·2H2O, because of the CaCl2·2H2O has little industrial application, in order to enhance its economic value, and with a view of energy conservation and environmental conservation factors, This thesis is study experiment method on preparation of CaCl2·6H2O used CaCl2·2H2O, and determine the phase transition latent heat and melting point of CaCl2·6H2O by it’s curve of DSC and TG. Put forward the idiographic solutions on undercooling and phase separation. This thesis was undertaken to search a industrial products which can combinative with CaCl2·6H2O , require it not only used good nature of energy storage character, but also execute a purpose of energy conservation and environmental conservation. Under the guideline of this thought, subject design and work out the system of phase change material heat exchanger using CaCl2·6H2O, and experimental research on the package of phase change material, heat storage performances, heat storage and release characteristics of the heat exchanger,etc. Calculated and analyzed the energy saving effect on this system of phase change material heat exchanger, add 2.68kgCaCl2·6H2O, it can·store heat 491.53KJ. Experiments show that the phase change heat exchanger can save coal 0.037kg one day, demonstrate a certain effect of energy saving, prove it can achieve a better result to this thesis requirements.We can known that from the comprehensive research on this projects, the phase change material heat exchanger and the existing heating system will be combined reasonably and effectively in the system of phase change material heat exchanger, has a certain performances of heat storage and heat preservation, can conserve resources and energy. Defined in line with national green energy, its consumption and application accord with“low-carbon economy”sparkpluged by nationa. This system of phase change material heat exchanger has a great practical value and broad market prospects.
