The hydraulic jumbo used in coal mine, it is mainly used to drill rock automatically,to drill the deep hole, to detect gas and to detect the geological condition. Thedevelopment of hydraulic jumbo can improve the safety of coal mine when excavating,can reduce labor intensity of the works, can improve work efficiency and can saveenergy and can improve the working environment. While the drilling arm as a mainworking parts of hydraulic jumbo, its function directly determines the working abilityof the hydraulic jumbo. So it is very necessary to study the drilling arm of hydraulicjumbo. This text is mainly to research and development the drilling arm’s system of thenew hydraulic jumbo used in coal mine, it combines with the key project of scienceand technology hall in he-nan province—the research and development of newhydraulic jumbo used in coal mine, the main work of the text as follows:For existing hydraulic trolleys and drill the structure characteristics of theinstitutions and arm job characteristics, this paper proposes a new design project aboutthe hydraulic jumbo used in coal mine, and to design and calculate the drilling arm;The drilling arm can reach90degrees, can realize the360degrees of rotation, canrealize to drill the front, side, top and bottom.Under drawing the drill arm mechanism motion diagram, we use D-H method tomake a kinematical analysis of the drilling arm, and deduce the forward kinematicsequation, and verify it in graphic method. Based on the numerical method, we useMatlab software to solve the working space of drilling arm, and diagram it.Under setting up the coordinate system of each drilling rod, we use Lagrangemethod to make a dynamic analysis of the drilling arm, and deduce the dynamicequation; We research and analysis to the calculate method of each hydraulic cylinder’sdriving force, and deduce them.We use3-d modeling software Pro/E to establish the three-dimensional entity modelof drilling arm, and make a dynamic simulation analysis to the drilling arm; process of the drilling arm, the analysis results show that the drilling arm’s structure design isreasonable and the movements is practical.
