With the rapid development of economy, the shortage of resources and theenvironmental pollution are getting more and more serious. Although our country is richin resources, the phenomenon of waste resources is serious. In this context, it has animportant significance to study reverse logistics. Meanwhile, with the rapid growing ofpopulation and the acceleration of urbanization progress, the number of municipal solidwaste of our country is increased year by year. It not only causes serious pollution of theenvironment but also influences the development of economy and the stability of society.Today, how to dispose of domestic waste quickly and efficiently in order to realize thesustainable development of cities and the recycling of resources becomes a worldwideresearch topic. In the view of logistics,this paper gives us a brand new vision to dealwith the treatment of solid waste.Taking into account the diversity of the objectives of logistics network system, thispaper studies the problems of choosing site for solid waste treatment plants of certainenvironment and uncertain environment in the background of solid waste network withthe problem statement, building mathematical model, providing solution algorithm andanalyzing the example. Firstly, the thesis introduced the backgrounds and significanceof the research. Based on the literatures review, the issue was proposed. Secondly, basedon the relative theories of reverse logistic and choosing site for the network andfacilities of solid waste reverse logistic, a negative utility function was defined tomeasure the impact of facility to residential communities. A multi-objective model wasdeveloped, which contains two reverse logistic networks, minimal overall cost and thenegative utility, and an algorithm was designed for the model. An example was providedto prove the feasibility of the model and the correctness of the algorithm. Finally,considering the situation of solid waste reverse logistics in uncertainty environment,uncertain programming, robust optimization and its model were introduced. Robustoptimization was applied in solid waste reverse logistics in which the production ofsolid waste was stochastic,and a robust optimization model for solid waste reverselogistics in uncertain environment was established which turns the uncertain model intoa certain model. Then an example computed by Lingo was provided to prove the feasibility and the validity of the model.Finally, the paper concludes the research and presents the prospect of the topic infurther study.
