With the rapid development of soda industry, alkali contamination is veryprominent in our country. Large number of alkali waste random stacking will occupya lot of land and sea, and course salinization of land and block river channel. Alkaliwaste treatment has always been a worldwide problem. Scholars from variouscountries have paid a lot of effort and get a lot of experience in handling. The generaltreatment methods: directly discharging into the sea; alkali waste retain in storagedam and clear liquid into the river(sea); produce cement and alkali bricks; producealkali soil and padding materials; produce mortar; alkali for desulfurization;production of fertilizer or soil conditioner. These methods are largely conducted onthe alkali resources reuse should be used widely.In this study, the current situation of alkali waste lack of effective treatment inQingdao Soda Ash Industrial Co. Ltd and actual needs of New Industrial ZoneQingdao North Jiaozhou Bay, have been investigated. On the basis of a lot of researchand field experiments, Proposed the idea of using alkali made alkali soil, largequantities using in new industrial area and filling the ground and roadbed. On the onehand these methods can realize alkali waste in resource utilization, reduceenvironmental pollution; on the other hand may save valuable land and mineralresources.After analysis construction conditions, the implementation of technology andbuilding programs, the results of the investigation are as follows:(1) Feasibility Analysis of construction conditions: Construction of the projecthas a good policy environment, social environment, in accordance with advancedmanagement experience at home and abroad, the previous basis work lay thefoundation for breakthrough the technology of alkali comprehensive management,utilization. (2) Feasibility Analysis of the project implementation technical: through avariety of laboratory and field studies of load test, we study the engineering propertiesof alkali soil. The results show that the test soil can be applied to sub-grade cushion orbuilding foundation cushion.Alkali Soil Reclamation Project can help eliminate the Jiaozhou Bay Sodapollution, also made to resolve the problem of the park filling soil source, and avoidthe destruction of vegetation on the land, with a double, and important environmentalsignificance.
