With continuous development of social economy and people’s awareness ofenvironmental protection, volatile organic compounds content of paint and bond isrestricted. The water-based polyurethane which is Gradually to replace the the Solvent-basedpolyurethane is gradually replaced by water-based polyurethane which will be widely used intextile, leather processing, paint, wood processing, building materials, paper, adhesives andother industries. Single water-based polyurethane have some defects in its application such aspoor water resistance, low solid content and low film gloss. We can improve the properties ofwaterborne polyurethane by use multiple composite modified method which can getadvantages of various modifiers and make them play a synergistic effect.In this paper, there are three main results,.Firstly,waterborne polyurethane is synthesizedby prepolymer method with PTMG and IPDI as basic materials,DMPA and TMP asneutralizers,then, discussed the influence of NCO/OH retio and the content of DPMA forthe performance of water - based polyurethane synthesized by IR spectra.And get a result ofthe most optimal reaction conditions which means NCO/OH is 3.0, DMPA content in water -based polyurethane.is 6%, temperature is 80°CSecondly,discussed the effect of KH-602 content for the appearance, viscosity, waterabsorption, heat resistance and mechanical properties of water - based polyurethane modifiedby KH-602 and IR spectra.When KH-602 content is 5%,the water-based polyurethance’sappearance and stability is better. Compared with unmodified,the tensile strength is 60.3Mpaincreased by 50.7% and elongation at break is 327% reduced 40.2%.temperature is 317℃raised by 41℃.When the temperature is 363℃when 40% of modified water-basedpolyurethance has been decomposed, this temperature, Compared with unmodified,this temperature is raised by 46℃Thirdly, With HEMA asblocking agent and BMA as monomer, successfully synthesizethe water-based polyurethane composite latex which make the water-based polyurethane asshell and polyacrylate as the core.Discussed the effect of BMA addition for the appearance,viscosity, water absorption, heat resistance and mechanical properties of water - basedpolyurethane. When BMA addition is 9%, the water-based polyurethance’s appearance andstability is better. Compared with unmodified,solid content 39.7% and Viscosity 60.1mpa.s;Water absorption 5.58% increased by84.7%, the tensile strength is79.7 MPA increased by99.2%, elongation at break is 498% reduced by12.0%...
