From the last1980s， as a new generation of dry gas seal sealing products in Chinahas been more oil and chemical industry applications. Since the purchase of Xuyangcoking plant produced by the Tianjin Dingming TM02D dry gas seal， greatly improvingthe sealing efficiency， but also a series of failures. Each failure to shut downs， losses tothe enterprise. View of the dry gas seal technology is currently used in the chemicalindustry， but more applied technology， maintenance technology is imperfect， ourin-depth company research to do， hoping the dry gas seal performance factors，short-term issues such as failure to do an inquiry.In this paper， through the introduction of dry gas seal technology， and the commonseal in the form of comparison， analysis of dry gas sealing mechanism to introduce acommon structural arrangement in the form of dry gas seals for compressors in themethanol synthesis from TM02D dry sealing performance computing， describes theprocess parameters on the performance of dry gas seals， and draw out the relevant curve，the dry gas seal on the part of the application results. On this basis，to discuss the TM02Ddry gas seal on the compressor in the work of methanol-point dry gas seal of the gas filmthickness， dry gas sealing performance evaluation and maintenance， operation providesthe basis for improvement. By comparing the theoretical analysis and practicalfunctioning， short-term analysis of the dry gas seal failure causes， and puts forwardTM02D dry gas seal device and process improvement program and the gradualimplementation of adjustment measures to address the use of dry gas seals oftenproblems， to protect the normal operation of the seal. This article also combined with drygas seal technology is currently in the country’s development situation， made a dry gasseal in the installation， maintenance requirements， can be used for training and learnfrom other users.
