Modal products have good flexibility and excellent moisture absorption.With the improvement of living standards, the requirements of comfortable gradual increase in. The personal clothing of the Modal fiber woven into the families. So Modal products have broad prospects in the modern apparel.Modal fabric mostly are knitted fabric.knitted fabric structure loose and soft to the touch, the cohesion between the fibers is small, the fiber is easy to slide out from the fabric by friction, thus modal knitted fabric pilling ball phenomenon is serious.The pilling of nano-modal knitted fabric is more serious. Needing to solve the pillingp roblem at the same time given it’s the nano features. So nano-modal knitted anti-pilling finishing have important potential applications.Prepared AgI nano-powder with emulsion method, then prepaed nano-finishing agent, with the finishing treatment of modal knitted fabric, obtained nano-modal knitted fabric. Nano-modal knitted fabric were the main object of anti-pilling finishing study, complemented by the unhandled modal knitted fabric. Got the best finishing process though Anti-pilling test. Took performance, functionality and safety performance evaluation of nano-modal knitted into the best finishing process.The main research work and results are as follows:(1) Whether the unhandled modal knitted fabric knitted or nano-modal followed the mechanism of pilling that proposed by Cooke and experienced the villus formation stage, tangled into a ball stage, the growth stage of the ball, the sphere off stage. And nano-modal knitted fabric is easer.(2) Used paraffin as the emulsifier, then got nano-AgI emulsion prepared by microemulsion.Made nano-finishing agent with nano-AgI emulsion,and then finishing the modal knitted fabric with it, obtained nano-modal knitted fabric.(3) Used anti-pilling agent KD-1, anti-pilling agent ZL-W、H2O2、UV,、H2O2/UV, SUKACell-P1000acid-cellulose cellulase enzyme and1.4million live cellulase enzyme to anti-pilling finish unhandled modal knitted fabrics and nano-modal knitted fabrics. The finishing method pilling grade of Nano-modal knitted fabric was3or more. The pilling level of UV or H2O2/UV achieved the full level of5.(4) After a series of taking performance tests, the samples collated by the seven kinds of finishing methods, the wearability of the samples basically met the requirements. Containing ultraviolet involved in finishing its color was more significant impacted, so move these processes before the dyeing processes to minimize the impact of color.(5) It could be seen by comparing the scanning electron micrographs after the above optimum process was finished, the fiber surface still had nanoparticle distribution. So its nano features still existed. The antistatic effect of the finished fabric was still very good, did not produce static electricity. Did not contain free formaldehyde and water extract pH after treatment met the requirement. So the samples’function and security were no problem.
