In this paper, author did a lot of research and study on meltblown knowledge especially on thermal resistance field, and made a detailed plan to produce bicomponent PP/PET meltblown nonwoven material and did much more experiments on Basis weight, thickness, warmth, water vapor permeability, air permeability, compress ability, tensile strength. The study will bring out and support the thermal resistance product development in this area using melt-blown method.1. The thickness trend of bicomponent PP/PET meltblown nonwoven materials shows decline gradually when the PP weight content is constant.2. The warmth performance (Clo value) becomes better with the samples thickness increasing.3. The bicomponent PP/PET meltblown nonwoven material has very good water vapor permeability, the test results shows that they are beyond of 4500.The water vapor permeability of bicomponent PP/PET nonwoven materials is strong significant correlation with the content of PP and PET.4. About bicomponent PP/PET nonwoven materials, the air permeability is increasing gradually when the PP weight keeps consistent; the air permeability is gradually increasing according to PET content decreasing. The air permeability value is correlated with the PP weight content. The air permeability value is correlated with the content of PET strongly.5. Reducing the PP content or increasing the PET content can improve compressibility of bicomponent PP/PET meltblown nonwoven materials. But after the PET content achieves a certain weight, the compressibility of PP/PET nonwoven materials is decided by the PET content.6. The Tensile of machine direction is higher than cross direction for the same samples.
