With the development of modern industry, there are four main environment pollutions, such as water pollution, air pollution, waste pollution and noise pollution. Noise pollution has become increasingly serious. If people are exposure to noise long time, people would have deafness, heart disease and other diseases. Noise seriously impacts on human health and affects the working efficiency. Noise would leads to an accident. In order to protect the human health and improve the living environment of people, industrial noise control has been carried out broadly in the world, and noise control is used successfully in the automotive, aerospace and so on. Tobacco industry makes large contributions to the national economy, but noise problem is becoming increasingly serious in tobacco industry. Noise control is difficult in the techniques and there are no success results in tobacco industries up to now. The prevalence illness of cigarette factory workers’ hearing, physiology and mental is a rising trend due to noise.This subject comes from the project funded by enterprise. Noise control investigations and application are studied continuously by our project team in cigarette making workshop of a large domestic tobacco factory for two years, the operation noise level of cigarette box packing machine reaches less4dB(A)-7dB(A) than the noise standard limit specified on the noise standards for new enterprise published by nation. Through acoustic test done by the municipality authority department, the cigarette hard-box packaging machine works normally and its operation noise satisfied the standard.Before implement of noise control of cigarette box packing machine, working noise&vibration produced by the cigarette box packing machine have been measured in details based on the acoustic vibration measurement system LMS Test.lab, Important information about main noise sources and noise spectrums have been obtained. Undergoing the project approachments about noise control of the cigarette box packing machine, the comprehensive noise treatment implementation has formed finally based on acoustic characteristics, economic cost and so on. Based upon the3D modeling and FEM software, the acoustic performances on enclosures and vibration modes of key structures have been analyzed and checked, and the acoustic enclosures have been producted and put into practice. Over the past year, under the principal corporate technology sector combined with, the team finished noise control products design of cigarette hard-box packaging machine and succeed in developing engineering prototype.Noise control in practice has shown, authors propose the method that machine focused on noise source of primary and secondary to sound absorption, sound insulation for comprehensive treatment. Noise method have the merit such as:obvious noise reduction effect, rational, low cost, appearance, and in accordance with the operator’s work habits. After more than two months, trial operation were tested, cooperated enterprises has planned to use the noise control methods for cigarette hard-box packaging machine.In order to meet the particular requirements of a noise control in ventilating motors of machine, a new muffler with maze chamber which have acoustic characteristics spectrum and the small size has been designed based on acoustic software SYSNOISE. It is well shown from practice that the new maze chamber muffler fully satisfies acoustic, air exhaust and technology requirements for the cigarette box packing machine.
