This paper studies the springback problem in the production process of thelongitudinal beam in H08truck of HuaLing Automobile Co., LTD. Based on the CAEanalysis of the springback mechanism and the main factors that influence springback,the springback prediction model is established and the springback prediction accuracyis discussed in detail. According to the forming characteristics of the longitudinalbeam in H08truck and the amount of springback accurately predicted, the springbackcompensation can be calculated and the springback error can be effectively controlled.Eventually, reasonable control scheme for springback compensation quantity isdetermined, which can solve the existing springback problem in the longitudinal beamof H08truck. The research work is conducted as follows:(1) The forming and springback mechanism of the longitudinal beam in H08truck is discussed. On the basis of related theory in numerical simulation of sheetmetal forming, combining with the existing springback problem of the longitudinal,this work use software Dynaform to make forming and springback numericalsimulation for the longitudinal beam in H08truck, then obtain a kind of springbackcompensation method of die surface modification based on springback prediction.(2) The die surfaces is modified using the above springback compensationmethod for the longitudinal beam in H08truck, and the new die structure is producesbased on the die surface.(3) Its application in stamping process for H08longitudinal beam is carried out.The accuracy inspection result shows that the proposed spring back analysis andcontrol method is feasible and efficient for the longitudinal beam of H08truck.
