Ordered mesoporous materials with large surface area and tunable pore size distribution have been applied in many fields, such as separation, adsorption, catalysis, drug delivery, sensors, and optoelectronic devices. Nanoparticles with uniform and controllable size distribution could be prepared by ordered structures of mesoporous materials, acting as "micro-reactors", which is a potential application for mesoporous materials. Compared with traditional nanoparticles, the obtained composites would show enhanced properties.CaWO4:Eu3+/SBA-15composites were successfully synthesized by hydrothermal treatment in mild condition. The physicochemical properties of the resultant composites were well characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), N2adsorption-desorption, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and luminescence spectra. The results indicated that the incorporation of CaWO4:Eu3+did not have obvious impact on the ordered mesostructure of the host matrix SBA-15. In addition, the resultant composites CaWO4:Eu3+/SBA-15showed enhanced luminescent properties than the pure CaWO4:Eu3+nanoparticles, which were mainly attributed to the host-protect effect through interaction between nanoparticles and abundant OH groups on the surface of the host matrix.TiO2was incorporated into SBA-15by internal hydrolysis method. All products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), N2adsorption-desorption, Ultraviolet and visible spectrophotometry (UV-Vis) analysis and photocatalytic activities. Then AgCl, which strongly absorb visible light, was loaded on the TiO2/SBA-15composites. The resulting products of AgCl-TiO2/SBA-15still remain the ordered structure and high specific surface area, which is highly efficient in the visible region.
