Food safety problems have been concerned widely resent years. Food security involvesmany fields and the packaging material is the more important one in it. It is a greatsignificance for food safety: it can keep the food itself away from the contamination andmaintain it unchanged; on the other hand, the chemicals of the packaging materials canmigrate into foods. The overall migration and the specific migration are the two forms of themigration. The overall migration can help people realize the entire change of the materialsand food. And it can play an auxiliary and complementary role in specific migration. The laminated film pouches for food packaging (two layers and three layers) were takenas object of study in the paper. And the GB/T5009.156-2003is taken as the method todeterminate the overall migration of chemicals. The acetic acid, ethanol, water and n-hexaneare used as the food simulation. The overall migration of chemicals was studied by the layersand thickness of the laminated film pouches, changing acid and ethanol concentration, soaking time, and soaking temperature. The overall migration of chemicals are analyzed bythe software SPSS and the corresponding regression models are established. The experiment conclusions are: the overall migration of chemicals of laminated filmpouches is influenced by the food simulation concentration, soaking time and soakingtemperature etc. And the thickness of laminated film pouches has no effect on it. At the sametime, the layers of laminated film pouches have different effect on it with different foodsimulation. For the acidic food, the overall migration of chemicals of two layers laminatedfilm pouches is more than three layers’. But in the oil food, the result is opposed to the acidicfood. And the overall migration of chemicals has nothing to do with the layers in the otherfood simulation. For the acidic food, when the acetic acid concentration is4%(V/V) or16%(V/V), theoverall migration of chemicals reaches the maximum; the overall migration is the minimumwhen acetic acid concentration is10%(V/V). And for the ethanol, the overall migration ofchemicals increases with the concentration of ethanol. And the overall migration of chemicalsincreases with soaking time. And the soaking temperature is more complex. For the acidic food, when the soakingtemperature is90℃, the overall migration of chemicals reaches the maximum. the overallmigration of chemicals grows until90℃. And for the ethanol, the overall migration ofchemicals decreases as the soaking temperature is less than70℃. When the soakingtemperature is more than70℃, the overall migration of chemicals will increase. For the water or oil food, the overall migration of chemicals is up with soaking temperature increasing. The experiment data is analyzed by the software SPSS to set up the regression models. The R Square, Sig. and F are the values which are used as the standard for judging theregression models. For the regression model, the higher R Square is, the better it is; the sig.value should close to the0, and F is the same as R Square. The regression models’ R Squarewhich is up to0.99can response the relation between the chemicals’ overall migration and itsfactor. It is very useful to guarantee food packaging safety.
