The tyre buffing is one of the most important link of the tires reproducing product line, which affects the quality of the tires reproducing. Tires reproducing is the extension and processing reusing of tire industry, is an active way for recycling waste tyres and promoting resources saving, which has vital significance for sustainable development and promote the transformation of economic growth mode. At present, our country has become the power of the tires reproducing industry, but,because our country started late in this industry, and not yet have a mature tires reproducing production line, especially compared with the developed countries, the tyres buffing equipment automation level is extremely backward. In this paper, in allusion to what the current situation of the development of technology of the tyres buffing, it discussed such as buffing process, tire of the buffing runin algorithm and tire buffing numerical control system(CNC).The main reason of impactting the tire buffing technology development is the tires buffing curve,because the different tyres have different buffing curve, this curve compose of the lines and different arcs corresponding the different buffing radian, the higher precision tire buffing need a corresponding curve, and there have thousands of different types of tires, which restricts the development of the technology of tyres buffing. This paper has summarized a standard buffing curve, it can contain possible buffing radian of all tyres types, when we used we can choose the several symmetric radian to combination, and it is the theory foundation for general-purpose tire buffing equipment researching and development.Based on the tyres standard buffing curve and the general design principle of CNC. In this paper, it puts forward the tire buffing runin algorithm based on the joint of three coordinate. Runin algorithm is the core of the CNC system, higher precision and higher speed of the ruin algorithm is the trend of the development of CNC. The tire buffing runin algorithm based on the joint of three coordinate not only easily to software programming, but also it can provid the buffing which have higher speed and accuracy. In the paper, it used MATLAB to verify this buffing runin algorithm, and the results show that the tire buffing runin algorithm based on the joint of three coordinate which used simple, and can satisfy to any buffing of tires.In the last of the paper, it designed the CNC system of the tire buffing, which contains hardware and software system. Hardware system choice industrial computer (IPC) as a platform, the structural design is open, with applied modular, high reliability, easily maintenance, and low cost; The CNC of the tyres buffing is the CNC technology using in the tire reproducing industry, the software system design according to the special principle of CNC, it using practical, and the structure clear. In addation, automatic tyre buffing model has been designed, when buffing we can just choice model of the tyre, and then it can complete the simulation or buffing task.
