As the 5G era approaches,the demand for copper and copper alloy strip is increasing in various new industries.In addition,the quality of copper and copper alloy sheet and strip is also becoming more and more demanding.What's more,it has always been a hot topic in the field of rolling to improve the quality of sheet and strip.Compared with ferrous metals,the study of copper and copper alloy strip shape control is less.Based on the steel strip rolling theory,a theoretical model of copper strip mill plate shape was established,and the model was verified by using actual production data.The plate shape control characteristics of the copper strip rolling process were analyzed using the developed plate shape theoretical model.This included a proposed method for setting the standard curve of copper strip mill plate shape considering the requirements of subsequent processes,which provides some reference value for actual production.The current development of strip rolling theory was discussed.The basic theoretical models of plate shape,such as elastic deformation model of roll system,plastic deformation model of metal,plate shape pattern recognition model and plate shape instability discrimination model,were established for copper strip rolling process.In addition,a plate shape prediction model for copper strip mills was established on this basis,and the model was verified by using field production data.The results demonstrated that the established model could meet the theoretical analysis.Subsequently,the basic theoretical model of plate shape was used to simulate the rolling process with different work roll bending forces when the convexity of the cold rolled incoming plate is medium convex and medium concave.This included the analysis of the effect of the change of work roll bending force on the strip shape and convexity after rolling.For different thicknesses of the incoming material,a simulation of the rolling process with different work roll bending forces was performed to analyze the effect of work roll bending forces on the post-rolling strip shape and thickness distribution at different thicknesses of the rolled material.Simulation calculations were performed for the same cold-rolled incoming material with different pressing rates to analyze the effect of pressing rate variation on the sheet shape and sheet convexity of the rolled sheet.A standard curve setting method for copper strip mill considering the requirements of the subsequent process was proposed with the target of edge wave,medium wave and good plate shape respectively for the cold-rolled copper strip.Compared with the previous setting method,the standard curve setting method is more applicable to the rough rolling process of copper strip.It could be set according to the different subsequent processes to meet the requirements of the subsequent processes for the incoming sheet shape as much as possible.Simulations were carried out to verify the feasibility of the method by taking a typical copper strip rolling process of five passes as an example.Based on the established basic theory of plate shape and the model of plate shape standard curve setting,the calculation program was prepared in C++,and the calculation interface was visualized in VB to write the plate shape standard curve calculation software,which is easy to use by the field operators.
