High pressure grinding roll, which was developed in the late1980s as an efficient, energy saving grinding equipment, is mainly used for producing cement and mineral. However, Chinese technical level of High pressure grinding roll is relatively low at present. The selection of the key process parameters of the equipments which is labor and time consuming is mainly based on experience and experiments. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an in-depth research in the selection of the key parameters that have an impact on the crushing quality of the High-pressure grinding roll. In this paper, the following aspects are researched.1. The pressure distribution on the roll surface of the High pressure grinding roll and crushing process is analyzed base on the laminated crushing theory, operating principle of High-pressure grinding roll, and the existing mechanical analysis of crushing process. Then the energy consumption formula and the output formula in this process are deduced. The handling ability formula and the specific energy consumption formula are also got. In addition, the relevant key parameters that have effects on the performance and property are analyzed.2. The mathematical model of the high pressure grinding roll and crushing process, which is used in calculating the granularity distribution of the production and ascertaining the rule of the effects that relevant parameters have on the crushing quality, and which provides convenience for the setting of the parameters, is built with reference to the crushing model researched by other scholars and the practical condition.3. Numerical simulation analysis on compression roller is conducted with ANSYS, a kind of software of finite element analysis. The displacement and stress under different circumstances, for example different clearances between rolls are got. A reference that is more accurate and reliable for rational design is thus provided.4. Optimization mathematical model is built with reference to the throughput, specific energy consumption and the granularity distribution formula, which are provided previously. And then by using the genetic algorithm toolbox, the optimum repellant parameters in the range of constraint condition are determined.5. Through the optimization results proved by experimental testing, the principle of choosing relevant key process parameters that is of instructive significance is determined.The optimization model of high pressure roll in this paper can serve as a specific reference for practical production and further research in the improvement of the property of the High pressure grinding rolls.
