Study Of Loss Assessment Of Urban Earthquake Disaster Risk

Earthquake is one of the most serious threats to human being in all kinds of natural disasters. From age to age, the economic and life loss arising from earthquake is beyond counting. The residence and economic factors become more concentrated and intensified in modern city while the municipal economy rapidly develops. It means the loss from earthquake also become more. Hence, the study on the risk evaluation on the loss from earthquake has the theoretical and practical significance.This paper gives the concept of city earthquake risk index through systematical elaborating the earthquake risk evaluation on the basis of risk theory, disaster science theory and system analysis engineering, and summarizes the four factors affecting the city earthquake disaster risk. And then, set up the city earthquake disaster risk evaluation index system and evaluate and analyze the city earthquake risk situation through the city earthquake disaster risk evaluation model structured by natural disaster index method, analytical hierarchy process and weighted average method.In virtue of the city earthquake disaster risk evaluation model, this paper suggests evaluating the loss of economy and life in earthquake disaster by city earthquake disaster risk index. Through gradually modification of the model, identify the earthquake risk to an elastic parameter. It is to estimate the risk situation of city earthquake disaster and evaluate the economic and life loss in earthquake according to the elastic parameter in case of definition of earthquake magnitude.At last, collect the data and compare the earthquake risk of five cities of Xian, Baoji, Tongren, Xianyang and Weinan in Guanzhong area through the above mentioned method. Analyze the four factors affecting the earthquake disaster risk and give the measures and suggestion for the precautions against city earthquakes and disaster relief. This paper takes the influence of Wenchuan earthquake on Xian as example and evaluates the economic and life loss by means of the modified city earthquake disaster risk evaluation model to test the practical feasibility of this model.
