Corn processing industries consume lots of fresh water, nearly30%of the total water consumed was used by the recirculating cooling system. Obviously, large amount of water will be saved if wastewater of factory can be reused to the recirculating cooling system, emissions of pollutants will be reduced as well, which would have both environmental and economical benefits. Currently, most of examples that wastewater reused to cooling system were seen in power plant, steel mill, but few researches were done on maize processing wastewater. Paper based on the evolution of wastewater treatment plant, aimed at searching a combination of treatment process which can treat the maize deep processing wastewater to satisfy the cooling system supplement water standards and reused to the recirculating cooling system and supporting engineering with relevant data.As one of the optional processes for factory’s wastewater treatment plant’s improvement and pre-treatment of RO, process that suspended carriers were filled to the aeration tank was used to treat the maize deep processing wastewater. The result showed that the new process can bear high CODcr volumetric loading shock, the removal rate of NH4+-N was obviously improved by the carrier filling. Compare with MBR, however, the process would be choosed if the purpose is discharge only, it will not be choosed as the pre-treatment of RO.Pilot study of A/O+MBR process was carried out since the pre-treatment of RO was determined, the result indicate that the A/O+MBR process play prominent removal efficiency to contamination in wastewater.Removal efficiency of90%CODCr,94%NH4+-N and70%TN was removed from the wastewater and the concentration of CODCr, NH4+-N, TN of effluent was26mg/L.<1mg/L.<10mg/L, respectively. The tuibitidy was0.18NTU. Obviously, the effluent of MBR satisfied the standards of infflent ofRO.More than99%contamination was removed by RO. The quality of effluent satisfied the cooling system supplement water standards. Concentrated water from maize processing factory wastewater which treated by reverse osmosis was treated by coagulation, the best working procedure was PAFCS dosage150mg/L, pH6.5and l‰PAM were added before coagulation. The result indicated that the concentration of TP of treated water is0.42mg/L, the chroma of treated water is10.The quality satisfied the discharge standards.Based on the experiment, the A/O+MBR+RO process was proved to be effective to treat maize deep processing wastewater.The effluent of A/O+MBR+RO can be reused to recirculatiing cooling system.
