With the sharp increase of the number of vehicles of late years in the city, theurban traffic nose pollution is increasingly serious, so the tire noise, as one of themain sound source of traffic noise, has attracted more people’s attention.This paper, based on the summary of domestic and foreign tire noise research,study the tire noise mechanism and corresponding low noise optimization methodfrom the tire tread radial admittance and tire tread groove pumping effect, whichinfluent the tire vibration noise and tire tread groove pumping noise respectively.First of all, the characteristics of frequency response function of rotating tire withexternal load has been studied and the corresponding frequency response functionequation has been given, based on two coordinates with relative speed has beenestablished; a cylindrical shell tire model as an example to verify it. Secondly, asingle transverse tread groove finite element model has been established by usingsoftware ABAQUS to simulate the pattern groove pumping effect, and a discussionthat the influence of the rotation speed and the geometric parameter of tire treadgroove on tire pumping noise is presented. Finally, summarizes the tire low noiseoptimization method.Through analysis and study, the following conclusions can be drawn: theradial admittance curve peak frequency in the presence of certain offset, whenrotating tires in the presences of external force excitation, and the offset of the tiretread on deformation; as the tire speed and tire tread groove geometry parametervalue is increased, the tire pumping noise increases, but various factors havedifferent influence degree, the speed has the biggest influence degree, followed bythe tread groove depth, the tire tread groove length has the smallest; through theuse of different tread pattern pitch method, pattern dislocation method andappropriate choice of tread groove geometry method can effectively control the tirenoise.
