With China’s rapid economic development and the deepening of globalization, facingincreasing competition and rising labor costs, plenty of small stamping companies areeager to upgrade the existing manual-feeding punch lines to auto-feeding ones. Thusproductivity can be enhanced and labor cost can be considerably reduced. Eventually theircomprehensive competitiveness and profit can be improved. In the view of the reality above, this study put forward a battery of solution toupgrade the manual-feeding punch lines of a stainless steel processing plant named RiXin.To achieve the goal of automated production, modules of unstacking, oiling, sheet-feedingand blanking, PLC controlling etc is added to formal press line.In the preliminary design, analysis and comparison of the methods which include therealization of unstacking, oiling, sheet-transporting robot are carried out. According tothe actual needs of the workshop, final resolution is determined. And by the utilizing ofNX7.0, virtual prototype is constructed and assembled. In light of the problem of double-sheet and multi-sheet occurring in the operation ofthe actual prototype, considerable adjustment and improvement which include adding asheet-detaching machine, adding a detecting device and modifying some dimensions arebrought into the design of untacking module. On basis of comparing advantages anddisadvantages of existing traditional sheet-detaching methods, a new type ofsheet-detaching resolution is put forward in this article. Using NX7.0, the structural designof this resolution is completed. By using the modules of virtual modeling, virtualassembling and advanced analysis, the design is optimized and improved. After processingand assembling a practical prototype, feasibility of the design is testified.
