Bulk metallic glasses have special mechanical property such as high strength and bigelastic limit etc. However this material’s bottleneck is that its tensile plasticity is less than2%at room temperature,which limits its application in structural materials, thereforeimproving amorphous material’s plastic ability is now the problem that urgently needed tobe solved.This paper mainly simulates forming process of Zr50Cu50block amorphous throughthe molecular dynamics method. In this paper, we study the microstructure andmechanical properties of Zr50Cu50block amorphous by pair analysis technology and thelocal strain distribution method,and analyze shear band formation and extension that havea effect on the amorphous plastic.So we provide a theoretical basis on the amorphousplastic.Simulation results show that annealing and high pressure treatment make the disorderand short-range order of the amorphous translate to the medium-range order andlong-range order. In the cooling process, different pressure has different influence, theamorphous transition temperature decreases first and then increases along with theincrease of the pressure.In uniaxial tension at low temperature, sample will fracture along the single shearzone; In unidirectional compression at low temperature, sample will form a plurality ofinterlacing shear zone to carry the applied strain.When the sample is treated by highpressure torsion, sample will form a plurality of shear zone of changing direction to carrythe applied strain. This fully shows deformation mechanism of high pressure torsion isdifferent from tension and compression.In simple tension process,strain rate influences largely on the yield strength, but inunidirectional compression process, the influence of the strain rate on the yield strength isnot obvious. Annealing can make the amorphous yield strength increase, still can make thestructure of the system more uniform,and increase the range of uniform deformation area.In the high pressure torsion process, strain rate has no effect on torsion. In the same compression strain,the bigger torsion angle is, the smaller the corresponding potentialenergy is; when compression strain increases, acting torsion needs bigger force, namely,the actuating torsion angle is larger.
