| Color fastness is an important indicator in textile quality testing of the appearance. Color fastness rating method has visual method and instrumental method in the current, but mainly visual rating method. Visual rating has an unstable result which attributed to the impact of external environmental and human factors. The instrument rating is objective, stable, and will not be affected by personal factors. As the method of measuring color and color theory in computing applications is not mature, making the instrument rating method not widely used in the textile industry, especially in the place of visual aspects, the instrument rating can only be measured as a reference, but not as the final color fastness to determine basis. However, instrument is still a trend of the color fastness rating, and is also the only way an objective instead of subjective. Research and exploration in this area has never stopped which has achieved some results.Fabric color fastness rating based on same depth principle which worked by a computer in the article. The main idea of the article is use a scanner to capture the standard gray card and rating fabric images. Using the gray-scale method to change the color difference in different colors into grayscale difference of gray-scale images, and compare the gray difference between sample card and test sample to excellent fastness level. The article includes5parts:(1) Compare several commonly used digital capture device, select the scanner as the image acquisition device, and discussing scan parameters, determine a reasonable scan parameters.(2) The collected standard is processed with gray-scale method. According to the histogram of the distribution, determine the depth measure of the standard gray card. Color depth is calculated according to measure the standard gray card in the first composition and second-class composition, establish the correspondence between levels and the color depth difference, the fastness rating curve is given by the color fastness rating software.(3) Research the staining rating samples and discoloration and rating samples. Discuss the image features of a solid color fabric sample and multi-color fabric swatches’discoloration. Sum up with a specific image processing methods, such as solid color fabric sample processing area of the dark contrast, multi-color fabric swatch area average contrast. Give the depth measurement indicators of multi-color samples and solid samples, which is the closest visual rating method. (4) Color fastness rating software written in Delphi which is a visual programming language. The main software modules are image acquisition module, image cropping module, image processing and depth indicators extraction module, color fastness rating module, the result is stored modules, and ratings data management module.(5) Establish color fastness rating example to confirm the color fastness rating software. Color fastness rating software were used for100group staining fabric swatches and100group color fabric switcher’s rating, and rating results compare the results of visual method. The results show that the software comes with color fastness rating and visual method of rating results has good consistency ratings. The consistency of staining cloth-like can reached96%and color fabric swatches reached95%, the less than0.25of a grade in error control. QuarterThis research has high reference value, and provides a useful result for fastness rating by instrumentation. The rating of multi-color fabric samples needs further study. |
