Hot-dip galvanizing is a kind of important and prevalent mode ofproduction of zinc-coating plates. It is used in vehicle and applianceindustry area very widely. So people require high surface-quality. Factorswhich influence its surface-quality are diverse. One of the most importantfactors is that dross including dross coming from snout deposits on thesteel strip.Lots of factors will influence the deposition of dross on steel strip.But generally, the movement pattern will affect the dross coming fromsnout more. On the contrary, research the factors which will affect theamount of zinc dross would be more important because zinc dross doesgenerate inside zinc pots. Those factors are temperature, concentration ofFe and Al. So analyze temperature fields and concentration fields of Fe andAl is importantThis dissertation integrated other people’s research outcomes andused latest phase diagrams, then, analyzed the situation of deposition onsteel strip of dross coming from snouts and the amount of zinc drossgenerated inside zinc pots with numerical method.At the same time, based on the distribution condition of zinc dross,this dissertation optimized the zinc pot including enhance the temperatureof baffles and ingot. The outcome shows there are obvious effect to reducethe amount of zinc dross.
