The reclamation of biotreated textile wastewater by biological activated carbon (BAC) and Ozonation-biological activated carbon (O3-BAC) was investigated in this study. The optimization of operation conditions was also conducted, while the removal behavior of organic matter provided the theoretical basis for the industry applicaton of BAC and03-BAC.Study on the removal of dissolved organic carbon pollutants in the BAC process shows that as EBCT was60min,3Omin,15min,the removal of UV254were41%、18%、14%;the removal of ADMI were38%、13%、8%; the removal of DOC were29%、11%、8%。The BAC process prefered to remove the hydrophilics, the second was the hydrophobic acids, then was non-acid hydrophobics, the last one was transphilics. Research showed that effluent quality couldn’t reach the goal. The advanced treatment of O3-BAC process was researched, study on the different ozonation time (5min,10min,20min)and EBCT(15min,30min,60min)showed that the most economic and reasonable parameter were O3time10min and EBCT30min. In this condition, the removal effeciency of UV254.DOC.ADMI and COD is77.7%.55.6%.92.6%and65.8%。The removal of hydrophobic acids and non-acid hydrophobics mainly occurred in the O3part; the removal of transphilics and hydrophilics mainly occurred in the BAC part. In the effluent of O3-BAC process, the dissolved organic matters was mainly hydrophilics, the second was hydrophobic acids, the rest were non-acid hydrophobics and transphilics. The small device of O3-BAC process, showed that the effluent can meet the water reuse reguirements, and O3-BAC process is an effective advanced wastewater treatment, it is worth popularizing.
