Propylene oxide is the third derivative of propylene, widely used in PU, automobile, furniture, et al, and having a huge promising future.Property, application and marketing are introduced in this paper. Furthermore, three main production technologiesand new technical advancements are showed. Metalloporphyrin biomimetic system is a green, continuable technic, property, category and new research of which are introduced. Here, propylene being oxidated into PO with metalloporphyrin as catalyst, O2as oxidation is carefully studied, in the process of which catalysts, cocatalysts, solvents, et al. are selected, process factors including temperature, pressure, quantity, et al.are optimized and reaction mechanism is discussed. The best conditions abtained by the experiments is:catalyst concentration:1.46*10-5mol/L, FNLN amount:6.04*10-4mol/L, BCJZ:65mL, propylene:5.5L, reaction temperature:100℃, reaction pressure:1.7MPa, CJK:0.70mol/L, stirring rate:250r/min, reaction time:2h. At this point, conversion of propylene is34.81%, yield of PO is34.10%and selectivity of PO is97.95%.
