When the denim feels more comfortable, its solid and durable characteristic is still well kept. That is to say, when the developed yarn products become softer, its favourable tensile property is well maintained.First, the product’s compacting mechanism is analyzed in theory by applying the mechanical transfer mechanism of fibers, and numerical simulation of of this yarn’s structure is also carried out correspondingly, so that the feasibility of this product is confirmed initially.Second, the develop and the manufacturing process of this product are researched further. After a series of sample test spinning, equipment modification, parameter adjustment, property testing, quality comparison and data analysis, conclusions are drawn as below:Spinning a sort of soft yarn for denim by the spinning method of core-spun yarn is available in practical manufacturing process. Mean-while, the final specifications of product and the final spinning process are also accomplished.At last, on the basis of accomplishments above, some denim gray fabrics are weaved and some characteristics about softness of these fabrics are tested by KES-F fabric style instrument. And the testing results are analyzed and compared with those of traditional denim fabric to prove the product’s unique softness、comfortable handle、favourable dimensional stability and tensile properties and also to set the stage for this product’s batch production and market promotion.
