Reactive dye was a kind of reactive dyes which can generate covalent bond with fiber through the chemical reaction.It had the advantages of complete chromatography, bright color.good levelness,simple process,cheap price and so on.It was not only used for the dyeing and printing of cellulose fiber fabric,but also in the application of protein fiber fabric was also expanding rapidly.In recent years, as people living standard increasing and awareness of health enhancing,cotton,hemp, silk and other natural fiber were favoured by more people.thus make the reactive dye which was the main dye varieties for these natural fibers becomes one of the most important dye categories.The important indicators to measure reactive dye application were solubility, diffusivity, substantivity,reactivity,the fastness of dyeing,fixation rate,lifting force, compatibility.etc.Besides, people’s environmental protection consciousness enhancing and product quality requirements increasing,which made relative dyeing with good dyeing performance and environmental protection was now the research emphases of the relative dyeing.Active yellow M-3RE was a double active groupreactive reactive dye with the active groups of a chloride-sym-triazine and vinyl sulfone sulfate.It was one of mainly three primary colors of M ype dye varieties.and it had important position in the double reactive dye.In industrial production, he production technology of M-3RE was mature, and it was widely used.It could also compound with reactive black KN-B forming super black dye which market demand was also large.Although active yellow M-3RE had such a high application value.there were still some problems in the production and application,for example,low synthetic production rate,low dye relative intensity and low dye utilization.The organic waste water of by-products impurity was difficult to control, which increased energy consumption and reduced the environmental protection.Furthermore,low reaction conversion affected the color,making dye color partial red,which had an impact on the subsequent commercial processing technology, restricting the competitiveness of products on the market.The main reason which caused low production rate.low relative intensity and low utilization rate of activity yellow M-3RE was low content of main and high content of by-products in the synthetic process of active yellow M-3RE.The main reason which caused low content of main products and high content of by-products was that the diazonium salt could be electrophilic replaced by ortho or para of coupling component in reaction process.If para replace material was more,main products were more,and vice versa.Active yellow M-3RE was one main varieties of TaiXing city golden pheasant dyestuff co.,LTD,which presented some problems such as.low production rate,dye color partial red and so on.So TaiXing golden pheasant dyestuff co.,LTD.cooperated with DongHua University to solve these problems.Based on the above considerations, this paper from process improvement,adding proper additives(such as non-ionic,anion and cation,non/anionic surfactant,weak acid salt,etc.),and other methods aimed at improving content of main products and reducing content of by-productsin the production process of active yellow M-3RE.This could improve relative intensity, yield rate of active yellow M-3RE in the industrial production and practical application.and this could also reduce by-products impurity and energy consumption of production process and improve color tone of the dye.Specific experiment schemes were as follows:(1)By optimizing the diazo coupling reaction conditions,such as K acid and NaNO2molar ratio,K acid and (3-Aminophenyl)-Urea molar ratio,reaction temperature, reaction pH and reaction time to improve content of para coupling material,reducing content of ortho-position coupling material.(2)Choose appropriate additive to improve content of para coupling product,containing non/anionic surfactant:TF-403,TF-201.TF-204(transfar additives);non-ionic surface active agent:PEG-400,600,800;anionic surfactant:dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid sodium.sodium dodecyl sulfate,sodium dodecyl sulfate.cationic surfactant:YZ-1, YZ-2. YZ-3(transfar additives);weak acid salt.sodium phosphate.sodium acetate.sodium carbonate.(3)Improve process conditions of first-condensation and second-condensation(reaction temperature. reaction pH value and reaction time. etc.)to increase relative intensity of the dye.Through above experiments. the results showed that: (1)By optimizing the diazo coupling conditions to make content of para coupling increased from80.2%(golden pheasant index) to83.4%(increased about3%);content of ortho coupling reduced from15.8%(golden pheasant index) to13.7%(reduced about2%.(2)By adding weak acid salt-sodium acetate to make content of para coupling increased from83.4%to86.4%(increased about3%),content of ortho coupling reduced from13.7%to10.6%(reduced about3%).Through the experimental screening,found that non/anionic surfactant(TF-403, TF-201, TF-204);non-ionic surface active agent(PEG-400,600.800);anionic surfactant (dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid sodium,sodium dodecyl sulfate,sodium dodecyl sulfate); cationic surfactant(YZ-1, YZ-2,YZ-3)had little effect on improving content of para coupling and reducing content of ortho coupling.(3)First-condensation and second-condensation made relative intensity of the dye increased from95%(golden pheasant index) to107%(increased about12%) and measured that a value was about0.1.In a word,this paper optimized the synthetic process conditions of M-3RE and studied the influence of additives on coupling product to the paper.It also found the optimum condition and the method to improve this problem of the dye color partial red.increasing relative strength of the dye,enhancing utilization rate of the dye and keeping various fastness indexes of the dye.lt improved the market competitiveness of active yellow M-3RE.This paper not only provided-direction for the follow-up study of M-3RE,but also provided certain reference value for the research of similar dye.
