With vehicle is widely used in our country, the pollution from vehicle is moreand more serious. The government constitute the stricter vehicle emission standards tocontrol emission and improve environment. Meanwhile, the vehicle exhaust testingtechnology has also been the attention of the environmental protection department.However, due to the technical conditions, the domestic environmental protectiondepartment generally uses the annual inspection on vehicle exhaust emissions testing.Aiming at the problem of current annual inspection on automobile exhaust, weproposed an automobile online exhaust monitoring system based on ZigBee wirelesssensor network technology. Flexibility and conveniences of automobile exhaustdetecting are enhanced All-around real time detecting automobile exhaust isrealized The systen improves the prevention and cure of automobile exhaustpoiiution.Targeting at the engineering application. the project has done the work asfollows:The first, it introduces the development background and developmentsignificance of the system detailly. On the basis of understanding the regulations andtesting methods of detection of automobile exhaust, a comprehensive analysis of thesystem is given,and the overall design of the system can also be finalized.The second is the hardware design of the system: It takes ZigBee productionsolutions CC2430single-chip wireless node devices as a core hardware which isproduced by TI(chipcon) recently. This method realizes the on-line data collectionand wireless taansmission of the vehicle emission test by combined with sensortechnology and Zigbee software develop kit. Based on this scheme, the workincluding sensor node disign; terminal collection node design; and controller designof hardware and software.Through the selection of the highly integrated PL2303chip(RS232-USB interface converter chip)provied by Prolific enterprise, it completesthe design of serial communication module for the terminal acquisition node and PC.The third is the design of the software, it includes Machine software design (wireless sensor networks) and the host computer software (monitoring computersystems) design. After introduced the wireless sensor networks and the node principle,take use of IAR workbench to programming the acquisition node and collection node.Take use of Visual C++to realize the serial port software design, and compiledtransmission and the receive procedure, as to achieve man-computer interaction, itprovided scientific basis for proper control of vehicle emission. And the experimentsverified the design is feasible.At the end, there is a summary of this paper and what things need to be done inthe near future.
