China is confirmed by the United Nations as one of the fifty serious water shortage countries in the world. To solve our shortage problem and achieve reuse of wastewater resource is imperative. Sewage distributed processing technology has become a new concept for sewage treatment at home and abroad. The regeneration of the urban sewage as the city’s second water has become the inevitable choice. In this paper, sewage water, water quality characteristics and dangers of the comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of various sewage treatments, focuses on the biological contact oxidation process. Through the air-lift bio-contact oxidation system installations for domestic wastewater treatment, a small pilot study to determine the appropriate operating conditions of the device for future practical engineering design and operating parameters.Test devices in the process of the operation processing of organic matter will undoubtedly be within the system and external environmental factors. Including water conditions, water temperature, dissolved oxygen, hydraulic loading, pH, hydraulic retention time, filler, and filler structure, but in the actual operation of a variety of factors can not be controlled in a precise range of. This small pilot study in line with the principles of low power consumption, simple, efficient, selective temperature, gas-water ratio, the hydraulic loading for the pilot study influencing factors, the use of orthogonal test designed to determine the nature of the various factors on the COD removal efficiency significantly. Debug gas and water parameters of the test period for10-20, hydraulic retention time of11h, respectively, observed water aerobic zone, the effluent COD values and the reactor DO, Comparison of COD and DO determine the device’s best gas water ratio of16:1; during the test by comparing the COD removal efficiency and influent flow to determine the device into the water to6.0m3/d, the best hydraulic loading of5.0m3/(m3·d); Test the air-lift during the oxidation unit, the average removal of COD and ammonia were79%-57%of TN, SS and pH, turbidity, chromaticity good place to affect the effluent COD, ammonia and other indicators reached the urban sewage treatment plant emission standards (GB-1898-2002) and a B standard. The Airlift oxidation unit for sewage phosphorus removal efficiency is not ideal, the effluent phosphorus exceeded targets, and it is recommended that follow-up process can increase the chemical phosphorus removal facilities.Biological contact oxidation process is stable, reliable, low running costs, simple operation control, sludge production with little or close to zero emissions sludge, applies not only to the new rural village, is also widely used in the tourist resort away from the municipal pipe network attractions, military barracks, the toll station of the highway living area, Hi-tech Development Zone and the sewage did not meet or water reuse requirements of the majority of urban living quarters.
