In this paper, the finite element analysis of two kinds of radial tires are conductedby nonlinear finite element software ABAQUS. During the modeling process, thegeometric nonlinearity, material nonlinearity and tire and road surface nonlinear factorsof the tire structure are fully taken into account. Two-dimensional axis metric finiteelement model and three-dimensional finite element model of the radial tire wasestablished. Rubber matrix material was simulated by Mooney-Rivlin model materialduring the modeling process and reinforced material with the belt cord layer wassimulated by stiffener model rebar unit.In this paper, the inflation of radial tire was simulated, the deformation underinflated condition, stress and strain distribution of tire were the fully analyzed. Thesimulation of grounding process of the tire under static vertical loads was conducted, fully analyzed vertical load deformation, stress and strain distribution of the tire. Finally,on the basis of the vertical load of the tire, the paper simulated the steady rolling process, analyzed the contact between tire and road surface and the changes of the stressdistribution as well as sink age of tire under different speeds. The study found that the analysis results of inflatable conditions and the tirecontact with the road surface in the vertical loads reflect the actual situation. Analysisresults of the stress distribution and subsidence of the tire is more consistent with theliterature. Therefore, the model in this paper is reasonable, and it can provide areference for the tire structure design and evaluation of tire performance.
