The technology of tobacco machinery in our country has been greatly improvedin these years. However, the researches on tobacco machinery are limited in structureimprovement, few theory innovations are put forward. Technology innovations hasbecame the biggest obstacle for the development of domestic tobacco machinery.Aimed at the influence caused by the feeding system in VE100E on the ratio ofcomplete cut tobacco and the breakage ratio of cut tobacco, this paper proposes atheory improvement to deal with the main problems such as the breakage of cuttobacco.The main contents are as follow: firstly, the research background, resource andthe significance of the subject are summarized, the achievements obtained andresearched done in this field home and abroad are analyzed. Secondly, the influence ofcut tobacco’s structure on the quality of cigarette making is analyzed by experimentsand the cause leading to the breakage of cut tobacco is expounded. Thirdly, improvingproposals of tobacco feeding system is put forward, and the feasibility study is done.Besides, the concept and the solving method of cut tobacco suction rate are putforward to obtain the channel width of overfeed tobacco returning. Then the optimalproposal is chosen by optimizing and comparing. The three-dimensional model of thetobacco feeding system is built by Pro/ENGINEER. Then the CFD simulation oftobacco feeding channel is done to prove the rationality of the channel’s structure.Finally, the relationship between the suction pressure of tobacco feeding system andthe producing speed is analyzed, which makes contribution to the design of thecontrol system.As the substitute product of the cigarette making machine-PROTOS70, PROTOS90will be widely used in china’s tobacco industry. The theory presented andresearch done in this paper can be applied in PROTOS90directly, which will play anvital role in improving the rate of complete cut tobacco and decreasing the breakagerate of cut baobacco.
