It can not meet with the demand of double twisters market because the disadvantages of thetraditional double twisters as the complicated mechanical structure and overlaboratedoperation,and it would limits further development of the Twister.This paper developed a controlsystem of new double-twisting machine which based on embedded ARM.It is the control core ofLPC1752which based on a series microprocessor of Cortex-M3,and completion of the relatedhardware and software design.On the basis of analyzing the structure and work principle of double twisting,the paperdesigned an embedded control system of the multi-electromotor drive new twister which as thecore of the ARM.Analysising the double twisters’process to complete the accurate control ofyarn twist、anti-patterning and anti convex edge,and with building of peripheral hardware,thispaper realiz the complete control system of the double twists.According to the designrequirements of the control system.This paper will complete the following content:⑴.Design of encoder module. Designing of the incremental encoder and the absoluteencoder to gather the speed of main belt wheel and the position locating of guide rod.⑵.Control of step motor and servo motor module.Controling the step motor to drive bobbinmake winding motion and controling the servo motor to drive the guide rod make shoggingmotion.⑶. Control of AC motor. Controling the AC motor to drive the spindle for high-speedrotation.⑷.Deal with the phenomenon of overlapping and convex edge.Design control algorithms tolet the yarns in no-overlapping and no-convex edge.The software design of the control system is completed based on the KeilμVision4integrated development environment,which used to write the main program and achieve thefunction of each module.Then combined with peripheral hardware to make the twister meet thework requirements in the process. The experiment shows that the multi-electromotor drivetwister is simpler structure and easy operation which can increase the capacity ofproducing;Design of absolute encoder and incremental encoder improves the accuracy of thecontrol system that make the twists more uniform;Reasonable and effective control algorithm about anti-stacked and anti-convex ensures the yarns’s forming quality. Through tests and debug,the control system simple operation、 high control precision and have a good real-timeperformance that can well meet the design demand, and it has excellent workability property.
