The semi-solid processing technology combined with solid-state pressure processing,liquid casting forming the common advantage, is considered one of the21st century with thedevelopment prospects of near net shape. At present, the industrial application of semi-solidmetal forming method are: semi-solid forging, semi-solid die casting, semi-solid extrusionand semi-solid casting and forging compound method. Semi-solid die casting method is themost widely used in practical applications.Semi-solid die-casting technology is usually divided into two kinds of rheological diecasting and thixotropic die-casting, the existing magnesium alloy semi-solid rheological diecasting process is more complex, higher production costs in the actual production process,there is still considerable limitations for magnesium alloy semi-solid thixotropic die castingdesign and development of the forming device and forming process optimization combinedwith horizontal cold chamber die casting machine.At present, domestic equipment and development of forming technology for magnesiumalloy semi-solid thixotropic die-casting is almost in a blank stage, the existing characteristicsof the forming process combined with magnesium alloy, and semi-solid thixotropic diecasting machine developed a set of two second heating, insulation shuttle transportationfunctions in a magnesium alloy semi-solid die casting forming device. The device is dividedinto multi-level electromagnetic induction heating device, conveying device of two main partof the semi-solid billet shuttle insulation, and also includes other assistive devices, includingmold temperature, the thixotropic detection system. Together, these components form acomplete, semi-solid billet of magnesium alloy rapid heating and insulation to transport thewhole, in conjunction with the die casting machine to produce high-quality magnesium alloysemi-solid die-casting products.Forming device according to the shuttle semi-solid magnesium alloy die-casting designis completed, the combination of magnesium alloy and the characteristics of semi-solidthixotropic molding process, the forming process optimization. Including the improvement ofthe semi-solid die casting mold, the improvement of the parameters of the adjustment of thedie casting machine, the gating system. And using the finite element simulation software, thePro-the CAST repeatedly verified before and after the improvement process, in order toachieve the optimal technology.
