According to the actual conditions of the raw materials in Baosteel, the basic characteristics such as chemical component, granularity composition, mineral composition, mineral configuration and the lowest assimilation temperature of Brazil ore and South Africa ore are studied systematically by the measuring methods of chemical analysis, mineral analysis, different thermal analysis and assimilation performance test of the iron fine ore and so on. The influence rules of Brazil ore and South Africa ore on sintering process and metallurgy performance of agglomerate are found by using sintering cup test and correlative metallurgy characteristics check equipments, the feasible ratio of Brazil ore and South Africa ore in sintering materials proportioning scheme of Baosteel is confirmed. Here are the primary conclusions:When Brazil ore ratio in sintering materials is less than 20%, to increase Brazil ore, the finished products rate of agglomerate and the sintering using coefficient increase slightly, the vertical sintering velocity is basically unchanged, RI reduce significantly; to increase Brazil ore when Brazil ore ratio in the sintering materials is more than 20%, finished products rate of agglomerate, using coefficient and vertical sintering velocity decrease significantly, RI increases. When Brazil ore ratio in the sintering materials is less than 30%, to increase Brazil ore, agglomerate mechanical strength and low-temperature reduction powdering performance are not affected obviously; When Brazil ore ratio is more than 30%, to enhance Brazil ore ratio, the mechanical strength of the agglomerate decreases significantly, the low-temperature reduction powdering performance of the sinter improves significantly.When South Africa ore ratio in sintering materials is less than 30%, to increase South Africa ore, the finished products rate of sinter decreases significantly, vertical sintering velocity and sintering using coefficient are indistinctively undulatory; rotating drum index and anti-grind index of the sinter slightly increase; reduction index improves 5%; the low-temperature reduction powdering performance of agglomerate deteriorates. When South Africa ore ratio in the sintering materials is more than 30%, to increase South Africa ore, the finished products rate of the sinter increases indistinctively; vertical sintering velocity, sintering using coefficient, rotating drum index and RI increase obviously; anti-grind index of the sinter reduce observably; the low-temperature reduction powdering performance of agglomerate straightened up.Considering the ratio influence of Brazil ore and South Africa ore in the sintering materials on the sintering process and agglomerate metallurgical capability, 20% Brazil ore and 40% South Africa ore is considered as the best ratio in sintering materials proportioning scheme of Baosteel.
