In recent years, with China’s economic development and social progress, automobile has brought convenience to humans, however, environmental pollution problems caused by exhaust gas have also become recognized social problems. To solve the pollution problems caused by vehicle exhaust, the relevant government departments develop more and more stringent emission standards to limit vehicle exhaust emissions. Laws and regulations as powerful means play an important role in the control of vehicle exhaust pollution. However, in the long run, laws and regulations can not solve the increasingly serious problems of exhaust pollution.Non-thermal plasma technology as a fruitful research result is widely used in dealing with air and water pollutants. Studies have shown that Non-thermal plasma technology has a powerful ability to purify a variety of pollutants, it can avoid secondary pollution and it is an ideal purification technology. Non-thermal plasma technology has a broad prospect in automobile exhaust purification.At present, China’s automobile exhaust plasma purification system is still in the exploration and pilot phase. The most serious problem is that the vehicle power supply does not meet the requirements. In order to break the technical difficulties, we study the theory of Non-thermal Plasma and design a new kind of non-thermal plasma purification system. MATLAB simulation validates the feasibility of the system.The main works of this paper are as follows:1. Study the theory of Non-thermal Plasma, design a new non-thermal plasma reactor and improve the effect of automobile exhaust purification.2. Design the high-voltage and high-frequency AC power which matches the plasma purification system.12VDC is converted to high voltage high frequency alternation current, so as to solve the problem of ordinary automobile power failing to match the system.3. Design the hardware and software of the control module which maintain the normal operation of high voltage high frequency power supply. Power frequency and amplitude can be adjusted automatically to ensure the purification system to save energy under the premise of exhaust purification.4. Study the fuzzy PID control algorithm in the implementation of vehicle exhaust purification system to achieve reliable and stable of the system.5. MATLAB simulation validates the feasibility of system solutions, and provides a theoretical basis for the further implementation of the system.We use non-thermal plasma to the purification of automobile exhaust. We design new dielectric barrier plasma reactor, high-voltage and high-frequency power and its control system. MATLAB simulation verifies the correctness of the subject. With the continuous development of the subject, the non-thermal plasma purification will gradually take shape and become perfect. The technology will contribute to the environment.
