At present, countries in order to guarantee the people’s health, puts forward higher requirements on drinking water quality standards. Water source of water pollution is serious in Huainan. Removal effect of conventional water treatment process is relatively poor for ammonia, all kinds of soluble organics, turbidity. With the improvement of people’s living standards, how to improve the water treatment process and improve the safety of drinking water has become a problem presses for solution in current water treatment.The study is based on micro-polluted source water of the Huaihe River as the research object. The study discusses the removal effect of quartz sand biofilter, zeolite biofilter, activated carbon biofilter, zeolite+activated carbon biofilter for water the water ammonia nitrogen, organic matter, turbidity the Huaihe River. Study discusses the influencing factors for removal effects of influence of ammonia nitrogen, organic matter, and turbidity. Finally, the research summarizes removal performance of every biological filter to ammonia nitrogen, organic matter and turbidity, the research provides technical support for water plant upgrade.The condition of water quality of Huaihe River:turbidity is0.5~6.5NTU, CODMn is2.5~4.5mg/L, UV254is0.033~0.07cm-1, NH3-N is0.39-1.92mg/L. The experimental results shows that Zeolite+activated carbon biofilter for the removal rate of turbidity CODMn, UV254, and NH3-N was respectively83.2%,29%,25.5%, and29%. Other filter result is quartz sand biofilter for the removal rate of turbidity CODMn, UV254, and NH3-N was respectively90%、10%、7.7%and64%. zeolite biofilter for the removal rate of turbidity CODMn, UV254, and NH3-N was respectively89%、12%、11.8%and63%. Activated carbon biofilter for the removal rate of turbidity CODMn UV254, and NH3-N was respectively82.8%、25%、20%and71%.Compared with quartz sand biofilter, zeolite biofilter, activated carbon biofilter, pollution indicators comprehensive removal effect of zeolite+activated carbon biofilter is good. Removal rate of CODMn and UV254was4%and5%higher than activated carbon biofilter. Removal rate of NH3-N was3.5%higher than zeolite biofilter. zeolite+activated carbon biofilter can make the NH3-N concentration maintained at below0.2mg/L. Effluent NH3-N concentration in accord with the requirement of "drinking water health standards"(GB-2006). NH3-N removal effect of zeolite+activated carbon biofilter is more ideal.Study also found that more effect of temperature on the removal effect is larger. Under10℃~18℃removal rate of zeolite+activated carbon biofilter for CODMn and NH3-N was4%and5%higher than Under3℃~10℃.
